　　From May 18-20, 2006, The 2006 International Mobile Industry Expo 4th International cell-phone manufacturing and purchasing fair and forum will be held in Binhai international exhibition center, Tianjin. As a part of it, the seminar on Coding, marking and RFID in cell-phone packaging will be organized by Packaging Digest China.

　　Background:

　　The cell-phone output ranks the top in the world and the China users frequently change their cell-phone. At present, all the leading manufacturers have factories in China and most of them in Tianjin. For example, Motorola, Samsung, LG and other spare parts providers. In neighboring Beijing, there is Nokia and many software developers.

　　All the top 10 cell-phone producers took part in the previous fair in Tianjin. According to the figures from the organizer, there were 542 exhibitors, 16,000 professional visitors and 51 large purchasers at the fair 2005.

　　Build a whole industrial chain under new circumstance is the slogan of the fair. It can’t be whole without the process of packaging for this industry.

　　With the largest market, China’s cell-phone industry became more and more complex with many fake brand products appearing. Meanwhile EU will apply new law on cell-phone industry with some demands on packaging process and materials. There is great opportunities for packaging for such as coding, anti-counterfeit, RFID, product tracing system, safe transportation, environment friendly packaging materials etc.
